Toshiba 8200 Brightness low - help

Hi - the brightness on my 8200 lowers significantly when using the battery. Windows XP being used. Can anyone suggest a way to increase brightness to same level as when plugged in to the mains? Cheers.......Fi

Go into the Toshiba Power Management Utility and check out the battery settings. You should be able to increase the brightness there while on battery. Note: It is set at a default setting to increase battery life. If you increase the brightness, the battery consumption will be that much higher.
