Hey everyone,

This is probably a generic question, but just recently, one of my older laptops here, a Compaq Presario 2800AU has booted with a white screen.

You can just see the Windows login. On a external monitor, the display is fine.

What could be the cause of this?

People have said three things:

- inverter
- LCD cable
- LCD itself

What are the chances of it being the actual LCD?
