Dell Canada: WTF is going on w/ my order

Hi,

I ordered on friday the 13th (lol i just realized...) and it's been in the processing order stage ever since. I called them up today and they came up w/ the excuse that only today (right before I called), had my credit card been approved and the order actually gone through. I've seen final delivery date being pushed progressively from 1/24 to now at 1/27! WTF. I'm giving them another call tomorrow.

The 9300, but now the issue seems to have resolved itself. It has moved to the "in production" phase finally and the estimated date is back to 1/24!

dell canada site

is not updated very often. We've had 10 computers (my business) ordered from Dell and all of them spent a week in production and within one day to shipped on the site.

The Canadian division doesn't seem to update from production to shipped in my experience and the CS people know just about as much about the order as you do from the site.

I ordered my m170 on the 5th, it was "In Production" from the 9th to the 14th. On the 15th it changed to "Shipped", and arrived at my door on the 17th. It skipped the "Delivery Prep" stage entirely. The Canadian tracking system doesn't seem to function nearly as well as the American counterpart, but judging by the progress of my order, you guys both seem to be pretty much on schedule.

On a side note, I also ordered a Personalization Shield for it on the 11th, and it's still "In Production" as of 5 minutes ago (estimated delivery date is today ... I guess we'll see about that).

My XPSGen2 was 2 days later than the estimate ship date in getting to me.

Mine is still in production, but the estimated date has moved back up to 26 (from 24) sigh.... I would've had it by now if I didn't keep cancelling and making better deals as I got more informed from this site

Just be glad you didn't have to wait two MONTHS to get your laptops like a bunch of us Canadians had to when they first came out.

That was an excruciating wait.

EDIT: I'm not trying to be harsh with that comment -- I do know what you are going through while waiting for your machine, and seeing no status updates on the Dell.ca site.
