Qosmio G10 - Major Issue!

Thread Starter
Hi All,

I was using my G10 with no problems, when all of a sudden the screen displayed red vertical lines and my laptop subsequently crashed. Any time I start back up in XP Pro the screen looks really weird and it's not long before it crashes and reboots. I can start up in Safe Mode, although the screen still looks weird. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is my Video Card screwed? I'm using a NVidia GeForceā„¢ FX Go5700.

Thanks,
Ciaran

I worked on few of these recently, your problem is the NVidia chip on board, it has a loose connection. They are fixable without replacing the chip, but proper equipment is needed. If you purchased extended warranty, use it, if not, email me. BTW: These motherboards are very expansive and hard to find, most places don't have them in stock.
