Can't repair Xp pro!!

ok.. ive been trying to figure out this problem for 3 days now....

whenever i try to run XIII I would get the following critical error at the splash screen:

Assertion failed: GetClassInfoExA( NULL, TCHAR_TO_ANSI(WinBaseClass), &Cls ) [File:..\Inc\Window.h] [Line: 1527]

History: WControl::RegisterWindowClass <- UWindowManager::UWindowManager <- InitWindowing

I think this happened after I installed arabic language support for windows... before that XIII was working perfectly.

So I figured that the error is coz a windows file is missing or something I then decided to repair windows xp ( i have the pro version)

Whenever I run the setup cd I dont get the option :
press R to Repair windows

I just get the screen where I have to pick the partition to install windows in.

when i try that I end up with 2 windows xp pro Os es on my computer!!!

I dunno what to do... XIII is the only applicaction thats been effected and it would be a shame to have to go to the trouble of formating the drive and reinstalling all my files and programs just to fix that one game.

PLZ HELP ME

Follow your instructions in your book on re-installing windows fresh (ie..format). Might be that the language you installed overwrote your english windows library sub system.

If you don't have the repair option then I would take that as the windows cd doesn't like what it sees on the drive. Judging by your specs on your laptop, I would say that a fresh xp install would take no more than 45 minutes.

it will take 45 min to re-install windows maybe... but to get all the updqated drivers install all my games and software and patch em... that will take forever!!!

I looked thru my little black alienware book... i can't find anything about format / re-installing?? where did u see that??

When you insert your windows xp disc in the drive and reboot the computer, it will prompt you if you would like to format a partition before installing. Here is a link to the instructions from the AW site.
