as with DB, I always got top notch CS from AW...they apologised about the delays and I have no ill feelings with AW...but also, I do not have a AMD lappy I wanted, so I made a decision to go elsewhere....
Also...if anyone says they have gotten a rig and never needed to call CS for something, I think they are lying...we all know issues arise, with computers, cars, anything mechanical....stuff breaks....I think HH offers some excellent insight into this in his post...it is sad ES had to go thru this, very sad....I think communication for AW UK is an issue, possibly due to sudden growth and inability to keep up..I do not know but I do know this, people expect support for that kind of $$, and should get it...and I also know that even the best of things...computers, cars etc do break or not work properly for whatever reason.....when things like this happen...you find out what that company really stands for and what their approach to CS is all about....I hope all this works out for ES and AW, as it would be a "feather in the cap" of AW UK to resolve this, and do it very soon........
I understand your wanting a smooth creations paint job, and an intact warranty, but after the stunt with offering the AMD laptops way before any possibility to ship, I'd be worried about Hyper's promises.
I followed DB's delays and issues, and I was disappointed but not at all surprised when Hyper suddenly started saying the early sales of the AMD platform was supposedly a pre-sale. Many here said this was the case, and that there is a difference between promising and delivering, and it's not a surprise to me at all that AW was shipping AMD laptops before Hyper. They swore up and down it wasn't a pre-sale, then after they couldn't deliver, they said it was a pre-sale...
That's not what it said on their site, and DB posted here that he wasn't told it was a pre-sale.
If your concern is being told the truth, I don't necessarily think you're making a good decision.
If it's based on getting a paint job and a warranty, I can understand your choice.
I also agree if that's your decision that you should harrass Pat on their forums until they deliver. It worked for DB.
