Keyboard not working D470V

Hi guys,
I just bought an used D470V, and the left third of the keyboard is not working. Anything left of r,f,v n/w. Also the right shift key n/w
I took it out reconnected the cable without luck.
The keys are not sticky and there isn't any noticeable spill trace.
External keyboard is fine. Drivers are ok.
Is it anything to try to repair one of these keyboards?
Thanks,
Todd

Probably not. A replacement for my 4780 (coffee spillage) was about $75.

Sounds like the cable is loose on the left side, but as you have tried removing it and putting it back, I dunno...

I don't have your model computer, but my experience with laptop keyboards is that they don't really have a plug in as much as the ribbon, with no end connector, is pushed into a receptor. I would try taking some tweezers and gripping the left side of the ribbon and pushing down reasonably hard to see if it goes in any further (if this isn't how your model keyboard works, disregard). I had this happen to a laptop before (the right side of my keybaord didn't work) and it was just that the very end of the ribbon wasn't fully in the receptor.

You've probably already tried this, but just figured I'd throw this suggestion out. Sorry I can't really be any help

Problem solved by replacing keyboard.
Thanks
