i most certainly will when the duo core comes out on a 15" or lower
post #3 of 30
I probably will, unless I win the lottery and then I will switch to Apple powerbooks with Intel chips.

I will when it comes time to replace the 600m somewhere way down the road in a few years. Before that though, I'll be getting a new Dell desktop.

I'm more than happy with my 6000D. When the time comes to replace it Dell will be the first place I look.

I would. Maybe in another year.

I like Dell laptop. I bought 2 last year. But Dell's prices are higher than what they are known for. I will definitely look at the competition more for my next laptop.
But the problem is who are you going to look at?
IBM-nice but slow.
HP-ugh.
Sony-only at Office depot last stage clearance with the $500 tradein.
Fujitsu-?
Alienware and other ripoff-no.
Sager-?
What are we going to do?
Maybe apple running windows?

Toshiba, Asus, maybe HP. Not that I will buy the competition next time, but I will definitely give them a better look, esp if Dell's prices are high.

I was very satisfied with my i9100 (recently sold) and I'm very happy with my i700m. I also have a Dell workstation in my office that I like very much, and I'm now shopping for my first machine from the Dimension line, specifically an XPS 400.

In the last 2 years I've bought from Dell only, that being a I8600,D600,M60,
M70,and a D610 currently,Dell have improved the construction of their notebooks in the last couple of years, but I can't help but think they are slipping behind other makers with the screens they are fitting now compared to when the I8600 was in its heyday,I find myself looking more and more at the opposition screens going, mmm, that looks better than mine.
Seems to be a lot of dissatisfaction with Dell screens in the last year or so going by this forum...I wonder if they will do anything about it....

Still, dell is unmatched for being able to configure things the way you want which for me,is their biggest drawcard and the fact that even though they are such a large corporation with large corp problems, they do actually TRY to offer a satisfying customer experience especially after sale, which is more than can be said for the likes of HP and Sony,in my part of the world anyway.

I'll probably buy Dell again but not at the cutting edge anymore, they tend to radically drop prices on new models after about a month or two, which the other makers don't seem to do to the same degree,I got severely ripped off on the M70 I bought, after 2 months I could have bought the same spec for NZD1500.00 cheaper and that was after I was supposedly given a 1000.00 off when I bought it.

I will buy another Dell. I have both a 9300 and an XPS600. They are both running great. It will be quite a while, before I replace either one. When I do, it will more than likely be another Dell.

Im thinking on getting a XPS600 tower down the line barebones if i happen to see it for cheap.

You and I both. I've been watching the outlet to see if I can find an XPS 600 that meets my needs without being too much more expensive than an XPS 400.

I got mine from the outlet. You can get a pretty good deal that way.

I will buy Dell again, but i will not go for anything but the latitude precision workstation (waiting for m80 dual core. ) yeah they are VERY VERY pricey, but worth it... I WANT A DOCKING STATION !!!
I'm happy with my Dell purchase & will continue to buy from them if they are still offering great coupons & they have what I want but I don't mind trying out other brands.

I probably wont... even thought the prices are good

1) the screen is still crap on my 9300 (even though im getting ANOTHER replacement)

2) my audio jacks are done already

and the paint is coming off

Im probably going to keep using it though for my portable but ill build my next computer myself...

BTW, does anybodys 6800 on their 9300 get to 83c?
