Anyone using a Microsoft Notebook Optical mouse here? Please help!

I just got the new Microsoft Optical Mouse for Notebooks, the model 4000. It has side-scrolly (left and right) buttons on the scroll wheel. I want to bind those buttons to play World of Warcraft on my XPS (keeping it XPS related! ), but there's no binding options for the scroll wheel in the MS software? Is there any way to do it?

Gah!! Microsoft and their bloody drivers! They screwed us with their XBOX 360 controller crappy drivers for Windows, and now again with their mouse software! What the heck is wrong with them?

Please tell me someone here has made the side-scrolling buttons bindable in some way!

Thanks in advance!

I have the same mouse, and cant figure it out either. It looks like you can just change the magnify button, the wheel button (not side to side), and both buttons at the same time.

Maybe you can ask someone who has the laser mouse 6000 if they can do it and return the 4000 if the 6000 can.

It's such a crock!!!!!!

I returned the "basic" notebook mouse and got this one ESPECIALLY for the extra functionality, which is basically ONE button as you said (the magnify button which you can customise).

And clearly the 6000 is no better. I went into the software (Intellimouse 5.5 supports the 6000 etc), and again you have no options for the scroll wheel. It's just such a frustration. Microsoft really stinks, and have dropped the ball so many times in their driver implementation.
