Problems with 5680 built-in 802.11g adapter

Hi there. I have a 5680 with the built-in 802.11g adapter. It works okay (range isn't great, but okay).... but whenever I am using it and try to start any Office 2003 application the Office application immediately crashes. Same thing with Lotus Notes 6.5 when trying to respond to or create an email it crashes. However, this only happens when the built-in wireless adapter is being used. If I disable it and use a pcmcia 802.11g adapter, a wired connection, or no connection then everything works fine. No idea what's going on but wondering if anyone else has seen weird problems like this or has any idea what could be causing it.

TIA!

Not that I can offer a solution but I have noticed that MS office apps always seem to want to talk to the network for some reason (ZoneAlarm warns me of *any* program wanting to get network access - I have to manually accept it). It may be something to do with the applications trying to access the net and being unable to.

Sorry I can't offer any more info than that dude.
