he got it from tiger, i think. And wow, i just noticed the price. Please, dont waste that much money on that psu. Sure its 550 watts, but peak wattage isnt everything. Theres a number of other specs that can make a 400 or 450 watt psu outperform that. So my real qyestion is, why do you want that psu, just because it looks cool? Id spend my 100 dollars on a real psu buy a real manufacturer. Look at the rest of ultras product linup. They make cheap buget stuff for the most part.

That and the reviews is why I want to get it. + It is one of the best-selling ones that they have.

all im going to say it that there are alot of n00bs out there. n00bs with money. They see this psu and say "wow, that looks cool" so mommy and daddy buy it for them. Thats why its there bestselling psu.

good, im glad you know what your doing. I was just trying to offer some friendly advice. If you don't want to take it, than thats fine, doesnt bother me at all.

good luck woth your rig, and thanks for the neg reputation. Too bad its worth zero points.

So you're willing to ignore people's advice and now go on the defensive because you don't like what they hear? why bother start a thread? Your list is fairly useless anyway as it just lists generic items in some cases. What brand and range of memory? Drive? Monitor? Could you link to the exact items- it'll be easier to check.

I would just buy a Enermax, who cares what it looks like. Could be painted in vomit colour scheme for all I care. It's inside what's important...fairly nice system and if the PSU is junk, well worse case scenario it'll damage something, best case it'll be unstable and you'll be unable to work out why it is (think something else)

AHHHH Whatever you do, don't get a 19" LCD. If you're buying the 7800GTX, get at least a 20" widescreen LCD. The low 1280x1024 resolution'll really cap you and the video card'll hardly be able to flex its muscles. If you prefer the standard 4:3 affair, grab a normal aspect 20" panel

Should I get dual 7800GT's or 1 7800GTX? And will there be a major difference between them?

Unless you have city of villains and play that cranked up, but 1280x1024. That game is a freaking beast. Still slows down and runs choppy as hell in certain battles (one style level in paticular). Have a single 7800gt and 2 gig memory. Plays every game great, and is really good with villains, just in those few areas. hehe, just thought I'd comment since I was scratching my head today wondering what kind of flippin rig they expect people to have so that game will run perfect. Then I realized that I have the settings cranked up a bit high, so it would probably run perfect at normal good settings.

For this question, you may want to search for one of my previous posts. I asked something very similar, and the people that responded did a swell job at comparing them all. Linked to graphs and other garbage like that. Very informative.

Thnx. I'll look into them. I changed just about everything on the list, including the PSU. I have decided to go with a Thermaltake PSU instead.

Will 2 gigs of RAM really make an improvement?
