Room extremely hot with my Desktop

ATM I only have a desktop computer and a TV in my room. My whole house seems to stay relatively cool except for my room. I have been wondering what I could do to my computer to cut down on the heat that emits from it. Would water cooling be helpful?

How about opening your window? Last time I checked, that was free.

Watercooling? LOL. That will not help. My room gets really warm as well. Try an air conditioner. I am going to buy a portable one and have the cool air near my rigs air intake (the conditioner will be one with low-humidity of course). I have liquidcooling (hell, two liquidcooling systems) and all that does is release the hot air from the computer to the air.

and just fyi, water cooling doesn't magically dissipate heat, it will still be blown into your room by means of the radiator.

How much are portable air conditioners, and will my electric bill go through the roof?

We had portable ac's back in Paris and I think they cost us about $200 each. They weren't the best in the world but they worked well enough. You shouldn't need anything extreme.

Have you tried fans? (for your room that is )

I have a medium sized ocillating fan. When it is just a little warm it does some good but on a fairly hot day it just move the hot air around which does not do much. I am willing to buy a portable air conditioner but I dont want my electric bill going up $50-100 a month.

Maybe get a mini-fridge, drill a few holes for your wires, then just store the tower in the fridge? :]
