Well there are a lot of stock cards that come overclocked, so you would need your core clock and mem clock for anyone to be able to tell you what you might score (my stock clocks are 490/1.3). You will be able to do very good with that setup.

Hi everyone! I just got my camera back and I decided to take some pics of my desktop so you could all see it. I know it could be a bit cleaner. However, I think it looks pretty good.

I hope you like it!

5720-V - 1280x1024 = 4178 | 1024x768 = 4861

@ YANG,

I think the laptop scoring is becoming inaccurate, there are some scores that are posted which were clearly run in a resolution of 1024x768.

My question is can you break the laptop scores down into (2) columns, and (2) columns only? If you have more than (2) columns you will be making change requests forever, so I would simply break it down like this IMO.

EXAMPLE:

LAPTOPS - 1280x1024 (Default 06')

1. Codename_47 - 5720: 4178

LAPTOPS - 1024x768 (Default Legacy or Default 05')

1. Codename_47 - 5720: 4861

IMHO, I would either use both methods like above or simply force everyone to use 1280x1024 to keep scores uniformly valid and keep your matrix valid.

The scoring ranges from 1024x768 to 1280x1024 are exponential so we must be careful or scoring data may become convoluted and inaccurate. Also as you have already done, I would make it mandatory that all scores have screen captures showing score and resolution.

Just my 2 cents.

Here are my scores:

1280x1024 - 4178:

1024x768 - 4861:

Please stay tuned for a full write-up on my benchmarking of the 5720 using 3D06' coming shortly...

oh wow, I didn't even realize they changed the defaults on the 06 (probably b/c I havn't had a chance to mess w/ it myself since I do not have a capable machine yet...it's still in "build" =)

I'll fix the directions and requirements later today, I will add your highest scores Code, thanks for the contribution...

That's why I requested a SS, and futuremark link in order for members to compare their scores w/ other makes and models

I kind of figured you probably just have'nt had the time to play with it.

IMO, I think they changed the default res because of the growing usage of SLi.

The 2D test is absolutely brutal and will bump your score up tremendously with a dual core CPU.

My scores are literally nearly all GPU, the current P-M's choke on the 2D test.

Waiting for a dual core P-M Dual 7800 Go GTX's - Mobile SLi

@YANG

Just a suggestion, you may want to retally the laptop scores for accuracy as previously mentioned.

Kitty is in the 4500 range and I am 99.5% that this score comes from a 1024x768 run. I could be wrong, but I am almost positive it does...

@2.46 GHz and 490c/1270m I could not break 4178 @ 1280x1024 so I seriously doubt a 4500ish 1280x1024 score is possible right now on the 5720. So circumstances like this are going to throw the "Truth" in numbers off.

So if I submitted my score of 4861 to you and did not inform you otherwise of my resolution, I would erroniously hold the top spot. This is all I am saying, retallying the benches will be more beneficial to all and will tell the truth of the data.

By the way and either way, AWESOME SCORE K!TTY

Thanks YANG and awesome job you're doing with all of this

I would think that was the reason Yang asked for the ORB link as well as a screen shot (to verify test conditions). I didn't even know you could change the res, unless your monitor didn't support 1280 x 1024 (at least in the free version). And yes I did the run at default res. Very interesting topic though, if that is indeed what some have done to get a higher score (I never even thought about that).
