Very interesting topic though, if that is indeed what some have done to get a higher score (I never even thought about that).
Yeah but the link is not enough, if the numbers are skewed in this thread then it's almost pointless to keep up a thread like this.

Yang knows what I am talking about, it's not that anyone tried to deceptively garner a higher score, I think the numbers now must be recalculated because Futuremark changed the default test res and many didn't catch this.

This threw off what we are all used to, 1024x768. I think FM did this because of the gaining usage of SLi and Dual Core.

I think you and Darth Beavis may be the highest as your rigs have processors other than a Pentium M. DB is DUAL CORE so that helps massively, I love his rig, getting ready to send my rig to smooth-creations soon as well .

I am probably in all actuallity one of the highest if not thee highest 5720 score but the numbers posted now don't reflect this. I really don't care who is faster than me, I am just anal about accuracy . I'm an engineer by trade, what do you expect...

lol

Awesome score by the way, and bitch'n rig!

yeah we will need a confirmation w/ Kitty on how she got her score so high, also I think you are not able to adjust the default resolution unless you have the 3dmakr06pro edition, @ least that's how it was for the previous FM benchmarks

The last test was the highest on my notebook I have been able to get. And I have not been able to get it since. I had ended all the processes that task manager would allow me to, defragmented my hard drive and oc'd my vga core and mem probably a bit too much. By the time the last test for graphics came (the snow one) I was getting some pretty heavy artifacts etc. Under these settings it did not seem to be stable in real games. It crashed when trying to play WOW, as well as COD2.
However, the score came out the highest some how. Since then I have been getting scores around my original score if I do not go to extremes with the task manager and take my vga too far.
Also I did run it at all default settings.
Sorry for the confusion.
If you want you can scratch that score because I am not stable. It was a one time shot, which many don't count. If I can get a higher score several times over I will let you know Yang ^_^

I have the advanced edition and it let me adjust the resolution. I believe the advanced version is one step under the pro version.

All I can tell you YANG is that 06' is brutal on the hardware. My OC's were super successful however and the hardware had no issues again, thank goodness.

I was able to OC 490c/1270m with no artifacting... The 5720 is insane

My question is only this, did you run the test in 1280x1024 or 1024x768?

If that score is from 1280 that would be insane...

Remember K1tty, that nibitor lets you adjust voltage proportionate to your OC so that should get rid of the artifacting granted you did not exceed your chips OC threshold for OC'ing.

Good Luck and regardless, awesome score! Kudos!!!

thanks scores added...I may split the 7800GO categories into intel single core/P-M/and Duel Core amd since we have so many scores for that category...

PM me or post here or heck, create a poll =P

b/c w/ the xps, 5720 there are tons of scores just for them, then there's the 9890, EX7, 7700 for the intel, and 9750, FX7, and 7700 for the amd's

Nice score, could you please post the ORB. I would like to compare to my DIY to see where I need to tweak on it at, as your stock is almost as high as mine overclocked.

u really think i signed up for that orb shiat ?

specs be,

4800 at 2.41mhz

2gb ram 4x 512mb 2-3-2-5 2t pc3200/200mhz

xfx 7800gtx sli 450/1250 manufacturer OCd

everything stock

250gb sata hdd
120gb pata hdd
80 gb pata hdd
x-fi soundcard

that be it

I noticed your sig says 7800gtx, i got sli, that will make a big difference to a couple of the tests, so your OC will be my stock if you only have the one vid card.

All you need is an email and make a password, it would be helpful for others to compare. Basically we have the exact same setup for the most part. Which drivers did you do the run with? I have 2x 7800GTX's (490/1.3) XFX cards and an Opteron 175 (in my DIY rig). Even at 2.8ghz I haven't hit over 8500 in 06. Not sure what the deal is on my rig, as yours at the stock is way higher than mine at those speeds. That's why I asked for the orb so I could see where my system is under performing. Anyway that is a hell of a score for all stock settings.

yeah your current score is not published, at least when I clicked on it
post #178 of 488
drivers be 81.98.

thing is, benchmarking dont do anything for me, i am sorry, but i cudnt careless what scores i get as long as they are roughly the same as what other people get with similar rigs.

if you havent hit 8500, then you doing something wrong if someone with a 3800 can get 9k with basically the same specs except cpu.

when i put in my new mobo i will try and get 9k plus which i think will be easier than you think, i can guarantee that 8500 is beat, how high i can take it is anyones guess, but since this is the very first day ive had my rig back and thats the very first run of 06, then its a cert between 9-10k is reachable with proper cooling.

sorry dude, but in all the time ive being doing benchies, i have never signed up for something which i dont claim to be part off, as i find it kinda lame. the only reason i posted the scores as ppl knew i got the rig today and wanted to know what the scores would be, if they never asked i wouldnt of posted.
