Good to hear. Wasn't sure how well it would look at that size and res. They seem to be priced nice.

not much messing with the OC yet, but here's my lower-end Crossfire (x1600s) score of 3125:

OK, I'm a little frustrated. I've been playing the "driver replacement game" trying to get Futuremark to accept my score. I just can't publish anything. I've tried both the XG drivers and Laptop2Go drivers, and Futuremark just doesn't like them.

Anyone have any idea on what I can use to get on this list? Scored a conservative 2666 just a few minutes ago with the 81.98 FW drivers, which were supposed to be "approved".

Best has been a 2696 with the XG drivers.

What is futuremark telling you that you can't publish. Does it not even take you to the results browser? I have used every driver out there almost and never have had a problem publishing them. I can only publish one at a time per email with the free version but they do publish. Not sure what the deal could be.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, is there a guide out there, step by step on the procedure? Since I'm a simple guy, I hope there's pictures as well.

Do I have to register the copy of 3DMark06 that I'm using?

Let me describe what I'm doing. When I get my results, I select the option to put it online, but my "Publish" option is grayed out when I go to review the benchmark.

Not sure about a walkthrough. You do have to have an email and password, but it sounds like you have done that if it takes you to the result browser. You don't have another result published do you? With the free version you must unpublish the old score in order to publish the new one. Only one can be published at a time with the free one. Other than that it seems to be a weird issue, and not sure what else to try.
Ah, it says that it couldn't detect a component in my system, which is my CPU for some odd reason. I'll try rerunning it and see where it gets me.

EDIT: Alright, this SUCKS. 3DMark06 shows in the program the type of CPU that I have, but when it gets sent to the result browser and project manager, it says it doesn't know what kind of CPU it is.

I'm being discriminated against!!!

I'll add you GS Jon, but I have no idea what a Dell E1705 is haha, is that a new model? or is that a 9400?
I appreciate it Yang. The E1705 is the US equivalent of the 9400. I do have the SS of my 2696 score, will that work?

Dam I hope that is a typo. You ment 2696 right. Just givin you crap. One of the first scores I've looked at with the go 7800 (the non gtx right), nice score. Still not sure what the problem would be, but it's not the first problem with this benchmark.
WHOA! Major typo! 2696!!! That's what I meant, so sorry!

I guess i was a bit flustered about this whole "can't publish" issue. Can't even find any info on their messageboards, either.

I have that problem also, but for slightly different reasons. It won't let me publish results because it says my drivers are not officially recognized or some crap like that. I was using LV2G 77.76 drivers, and get the same message on the ORB page with my updated LV2G 83.40 drivers. My wild guess is that it has something to do with the nv4_disp.inf file, but i don't know why other people don't have the same problem

This is what it says when I get the project details:

Well i finally downloaded 3DMark06, and got the same error message as before on the ORB page, but this time it lets me publish it. I just clicked the checkbox for 'published' and clicked update, and it was all sweet. For my 3DMark05 results though, the checkbox is greyed out... most weird.

-Liam- (Dell 9300) 2365

GS Jon, your results are pretty interesting. About 20% faster than my 2.0GHz 9300 with o/c'ed 6800 Go in 3DMk05 and ~15% faster in 3DMk06. I think that proves that 3DMk06 is a lot more dependent on the cpu than just the video card. It will be interesting to see what some of the Core Duo 7800 Go boys get.

Also, with WXGA+, we are only able to run the test at 1280x854. It would be interesting to see how much of a difference the 20% extra pixels make to the benchmark for 1280x1024.
Liam - I've been monitoring the 3DMark06 scores here and on the Futuremark database. The CPU makes a significant difference. It is worthwhile to look at the GPU scores as well, and perhaps not to depend entirely on the total score (for those using this benchmark when selecting a new computer).
Yeah, the score the Dual Core boys are putting out are most impressive. Very heavily CPU dependant. Shazza has very good advice about paying attention to each score, instead of just the total.
Probably a record for a 9890. 450/1255. My SM2 and SM3/HDR scores are higher than darthbevis', curse his dual core 4800+ :P
