all scores have been updated, unfortunately I just noticed that my entire desktop section of the benchmark was either accidentally removed or deleted on accident ARGH!!!!

also for those w/ DIY or branded desktops, please re-submit your scores via pm to me, since the 1st initial desktop scores were hunted down by yours truly and I do not have time to do that again

Thanks!,

My first 7900GTX is to be here tomorrow sometime. Hope to make it on the list with just one. I'll be back up towards the top once the other gets here though. Good job with the list Yang.

DIY 7900GTX 06 score

First run with my new 7900GTX. Will be adding another soon. Not bad for a single card.

Nice scores. Nice phase change, I'm still looking into getting one sometime maybe. Looking at the compare orb they (my card and yours) seem to perform almost the same. Your cpu score got me good though. Not sure how much difference the rez makes in the score, I can't test at anything other than the default to compare. Congrats.

OCZ, is looking to release a new less expensive phase change unit within the next couple months. They are expected to be around $350-$400 upon release and from my past experience they are great with customer care.

Yeah the 1280x768 is my default res. and I can't go any higher with this monitor but the vert is still the same the horiz is just short a couple hundred lines

But then again, if I put that extra grand from the monitor in my system I could have had another x1900xtx +

Nice score from that 7900GTX

Yeah, I know that is your default using that big ol 30" monitor, would be sweet. I am waiting for the OCZ to come out, I've read they should start at 299 and come down as they make more of them. I would like to see your score in crossfire, that would smoke. Congrats man that is a nice setup.

Sounds good, wish some place would get them back in stock again at a good price. My artifacting seems to maybe be a powersupply issue. Using the second pci power plug now and don't seem to have any more. Good ol 5 year warrenty on it though.

Edit - Dam the artifacts are still there. Must be a bad card after all.

Well, with the regular Cal season over and a week until playoffs, I decided to do some more tweaking

These are not final results, just a work in progress
I went down on the core speed to 3.0 and tightened up my mem timings along with some newer drivers for my graphics card

3Dmark06 : 7,272

3Dmark05 : 13,335

For those that don't know click on the blue text for the compare

Looking good hunter, good job.
Thanks hulioni, after playoffs I will try to go higher with the core, 3.4 is my goal but 3.2 is more realistic

How is that 7900GTX coming? Duke bought one and I have been helping him tweak it a bit
He is not an overclocker ...... yet !!!!!
After two days of messing with it, I rule it as a bad card and will be sending it back for another. Oh well, no biggy.
Sorry to here that man, I hope you have better luck with the second one

The numbers don't lie ... that 7900 kicks a$$

Got my fingers crossed. I would like to have gone with crossfire but didn't want to mess with another motherboard till the DX10 gpu's are available. I'll use these 7900's till my next full rebuild in around a year. Can't wait to get my hands on a phase change too. You got one kick ass computer there.
Thanks man

Yeah, I'm not to pleased with the current Crossfire motherboards out right now....I <3 my DFI sli-dr

Click for score

This is with a pair of 7900GTX's in SLI at XFX's factory 690mhz clock speed for the Extreme.

I am currently running this on a 4800+ OC'd to 2.6. Still waiting on my FX-60 to get here and then I should be able to post some better numbers once I overclock it.
