New Pentium M Dual core announced, will m70 take it?

OK so I don't expect anyone to be able to answer this just now, but I love good theorizing

From the Intel Channel information sent out it says we'll need a 945 chipset to be able to take these

I suppose we'll know more if Dells online configuration page changes to include the new dual core cpus.

The other thing is that they'll be 667FSB not 533, and I don't think there's any kind of future proofing built in in that way on the M70.

Still, anyone got any thoughts on this.

hope is for the weak, especially when your hoping for DELL todo something (:

I think Dell would rather come out with new models than recycle old ones. Since they are not pin compatible, they might just come out with a new design to replace the old one.

i'm almost positive the answer is no

The answer is "no" unless you upgrade the motherboard. That's not a Dell problem, but rather an Intel one.
