Every time I try to install ATI's updated driver for my 6000d with X300 card I get a "INF erro Video Driver not found" error message. What's going on. Why won't it take. The new Omega drivers won't take either.

My system says that the drivers are not VGA compatible? Does anyone know how to fix this

Did you uninstall the previous drivers? Try booting into safemode and running driver cleaner pro.

this may sound stupid, but ur positive you have an x300?

Well the standard ATI drivers wont work on a mobility card. (not without a program to force them to)

The Omegas should be fine though, what errors do they give?

First uninstall your video driver, then install the Omega drivers.

What are the best drivers for the 128 MB X300? Will Win XP drivers work on Media Center?

If you're NOT a gamer, use Dell's default (underclocked) certified driver. However if you want to go into overclocking, use Omega's.

If you're certain that you really have the X300, there should'nt be any porblem. Otherwise, you might have a bad hardware and/or BIOS.

I want to game(WoW, Morrowind, etc)but I don't think I feel comfortable overclocking.

It's kinda fun actually, as long as you find your stable OC settings just like undervolting. I just did mine yesterday and the results in terms of performance is impressive.

Make sure you completly uninstalled your current drivers, and any other things labled ATI that came with your computer. Then, download Driver Cleaner Pro and boot into safe mode (reboot, and press F12 repeatedly until you see a boot menu. Then, chose to boot Windows XP in safemode.) Run Driver Cleaner Pro while in safe mode, then restart. If you get some "New hardware found" window, TELL IT TO CANCEL! DON'T LET WINDOWS PICK A DRIVER FOR IT! After you have run Driver Cleaner Pro, boot back up into Windows normaly, then install the Omega drivers for ATI cards.
