Anyone has another download site for those files? MegaUpload sucks for my country, is always full

does anyone know how much battery the bluetooth sucks up? It seems its taking up a litle more than it should

The most excellent description by KAROLOYDI on how to install the Widcomm drivers works exactly as promised for my Zoom PCMCIA Bluetooth card. For some reason though, the A2DP didn’t work (but everything else did, and CPU use was nice and low).

Fortunately, Toshiba’s new Bluetooth drivers (version 5.10.06) at http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/pages/download.php at long last appear to have fixed the 100% CPU use. Just a straight uninstall of the previous drivers/stack, and install the new one.

I am running bluesoleil - 2.3.0.0

I love it & have yet to have any issues with it. I have not used a BT mouse with my setup (I play FPS) and have noticed BT still has some latency/disconnection issues that I don't feel like dealing with.

I use it to link up my HT820 headset, DC800 base unit, as well as my A920 phone for EVDO service

Needed to install the Widcomm Drivers (from page 1) so that I could use Activesync with my new D620 paired with my PPC-6700. THANKS!!!

nice post, gonna try this soon

This all seems really complicated just to use a different bluetooth stack. Does anyone prefer Microsoft's over Dells for the BT355 + EDR

bluesolreli thingy gave me blue screen. Had tough time uninstalling it since blue screen kept occur during the start up.

Hmm I have it installed on all of my machines (2 with 355/2 with 350) w/o any issues.
Were you installing the legal version, the demo, or a hacked version.

I downloaded the version you mentioned from their site. I just installed it without uninstalling factory drivers. May be that was why? Anyways, I was going to use it for my diNovo, and it seems like it's not my lappys setup, but darn Logitech having issue with so many people w/ BT mouse, so I'm just sticking with Logitech BT dongle (usb) and works ok. I'd rather use internal BT since it was alot more smoother in games, but 2 mouse button blows in FPS games.

I removed all the driver& rebooted before instaling the Bluesoleil drivers.

okay, little semi-fix for logitech combos with internal Bluetooth. Download the high end combo SetPoint drivers that are non-bluetooth. Use the internal Bluetooth setup to find your mouse/keyboard. It will find them by name properly, but won't be able to add the extra functions yet. Once they are both connected then install the new Setpoint drivers. Setpoint will recognize that the mouse and keyboard are connected and add the rest of the functionality to them.

* Problems on mine still: This works for me for my mouse, but I'm using Vista Ultimate64 (I know it works for other OS's too though). For some reason, whenever my computer is stuck on something (coming out of a game or whatever) it reverts back to being a 2 button mouse. Fix for that - go into Device Manager, disable Bluetooth and re-enable it, and the mouse functions come back. Still a PITA, but better than restarting all the time, or reinstalling drivers.

This happens due to video drivers resetting the PCI-E bus...Are you using NVidia drivers over 98.09?

yes, I was using X-Treme-G MobileForce Vista64 101.70
I kinda suspected it might be something with my graphics drivers so I just got finished downloaded the ones from Dell's site to try them out. Seems kinda weird that Display drivers would be messing up my bluetooth. If display drivers are the problem and it's fixed then I probably solved most of the people's bluetooth problems.

Update. Don't know if it's display drivers again. With the Dell display drivers installed, I just unplugged a USB memory key and got the same problem - reverted back to a 2 button mouse.

So at least it's a semi-fix for those that are still having problems with internal bluetooth and bluetooth mice.

New SetPoint drivers 4.0. Haven't had a chance to try them yet (downloading as I'm writing) but thought everyone would like to know.

okay, I'm still having troubles. Not sure if anyone else is. If I'm running XP I have no problems getting the internal bluetooth to work with my logitech MX5000 mouse. With Vista Ultimate (32 and 64) I keep getting the bluetooth radio stopping and starting, which turns my mouse into a 2 button mouse. I have no problems installing the SetPoint software and getting the functionality of the mouse to work, but it keeps stopping out of the blue. Only fix that I've been able to do is to open the device manager, disable the Dell Truemobile 355 + EDR, wait, and enable it. Doing that repeatedly throughout the day to use my mouse.

My built-in Bluetooth (Widcom) does an excellent job with two different printers and an old Holux 230 GPS, but periodically drops the mouse.

My two year old MS Bluetooth IntelliMouse normally 'sleeps' after eight minutes of non-use, any action 'awakens' it in less than a second.

Every few months, (can't tell if it is related to Windows Update or use of IE6...) it will refuse to awaken and need re-Discover (through the ALPS Console) and this will continue.

Device Manager Uninstall of HID Devices and the "Found new..." on reboot will solve the problem if, when the note about "installing older file..." you select to use the "older files".

Next time it happens, I will note the names of those "newer files" and delete them from the system..
