Audio driver causing HL2 crash

I just thought I would share my recent experience. I have been playing Half Life 2: Deathmatch online lately with frequent game and or system reboots and one bad BSOD. I did some reading on the steam site and in these forums and decided to try updating my audio drivers. This seemed to fix the problem so far. I will post back if I have any other issues.

Oh yeah, stock xps2, 6800 ultra, latest tweaksRUS driver 81.89

That is very interesting, i have been playing through the game itself lately, and have experienced a random reboot twice now. I thought this was odd, since i got through FEAR and Quake 4 without a hitch. I wonder if i am having the same issue since my problem seems confined to HL2 only, and i have almost the same setup as you.....

Which audio driver did you update to?

If you guys want to look at the blue screen right click on my computer | properties | advanced | startup and recovery | settings | system failure | uncheck automatically restart

HELP, wasn't the audio driver (latest dell downloadable audio driver), or the 81.98's or 83.20's from tweaks, or the latest dell video driver, or rmclock undervolting, or the latest directx update. My coputer just keeps crashing in hl2: deathmatch online. Sometimes BSOD, sometimes just the game, and sometimes the coputer restarts. Anyone have any bright ideas? This is really ticking me off.
