What are people using to burn cd-roms's with??

I loaded my Roxio EZ CD Creator Platinum and my 8890 didn't seem too happy about it.

I don't like the Nero that came pre-loaded. Any suggestions?

Roxio and Nero do not play well together on the same machine.

I had been using Roxio but never got good recording speed. Only ~8x, after I uninstalled Roxio and installed the Nero Burning ROM 6 Demo, I got GREAT speeds.

I installed Nero 6 Ultra Edition. It works great, no issues with existing Nero software.

I like the Oak Technologies SimpliCD software that came with the external CD burner I got for my old Win98 machine. It is very basic but has been reliable and has gotten the job done, and plays well with Nero. I like Nero better, though, because it has far more options, so you'll undoubtedly find this opinion worthless.

I've been told that Alcohol 120% is about the best. I personally used Nero 6 Ultra because I'm too lazy to make my own DVD menus.

I use Alcohol 120 and Winamp5.

Thanks Folks:

I decided to go back and really give Nero a try and to my surprise it worked out well. I uninstalled Roxio and am all set.

Thanks for the feedback!
