Can intel 945GM chipset in T60 support discrete video card? I saw the sony SZ notebook had both Nvidia and GMA950 graphic cards. If it can, is it possible to buy a ati graphic card and put it in the T60 that has a integrated graphic card by ourselves?

No. A laptop is NOT a desktop, vid cards are not plug and play. The few that are (like MXMs) can only play a very very limited number (if any currently) of vid cards.

sadly no, this is not possible

It can be done. All you need is a electronics shop with all the equipment needed. You'll need to trace out the existing design (require service manual diagrams) redesign and build a new motherboard, stripping off the components and fitting onto the new one, retracing the video card bus and matching it with the new MXM board, testing, oscillascopes, probes. Couple of hundred thousand in equipment should do. Our company has the facilities to do this sort of thing (building track circuit boards froms scratch)

So the answer is yes, if you want to plump thousands into R&D :-D
