Argh!

I'm so pissed off, my order was placed on Dec19th and two days ago i went to Phase 5, just to find out today that i went back to phase 4 Every week I'm getting less and less excited about AW laptop i ordered. I dont know if i should cancel it. I ordered a 16.1" 3.2ghz 512mb , ati 9600, 8xdvd/cdrw combo

Dont cancel! I waited 29 days for mine, and that was int he "15 day controversy". I doughted my choices about getting this computer many times, and had to keep comming back here to fuel my Alienware want. Now that I have it im so glad that I waited, its so fast, and I can take it anywhere. At this point if you cancel and try to go anywhere else but best buy to get your lappy, its going to take the exact same time. Just hang in there, and get all of your questions answered in the meantime! Its deffinatley worth it and I cant even explain the joy it has already given me.

hang in there worth the wait! I love my lappy its like an extetion of my fingers now. This laptop rocks! You will look back on your long wait and think actually that did not take as long as I thought once you get this thing in your hands and start playing/tweaking/loading/surfing. What happens is alines send a singnal through the phone or the internet depending on wich you used to order that breaks down the time space continume and slows it to a crawl. Then the laptop is set to revers this effect even over shooting and speeding up the continum once you open the box. I have had this thing for about a month and a half now and it seems like I opened the box just yesterday.

Hey Same Thing happened to my brother except we placed the order on the 23 and yesterday it said he was on phase 5 but then he moved down to phase four and he called alienware and they said that the order status website thing is messed up right now and there having people fix it but that my brother is really at phase 6! But it does wanna make you scream waiting for the damn laptop!!!!

I read on this forum yesterday that they had changed the dvd-rw to a +rw so I rang AW this morning to make sure I was still getting the -rw and the guy said that my order had been substituted for a +rw. Now I was mad! Not only is my laptop taking ages, but alienware thinks it is ok to go and change your order without even confirming it with you first - The rep told me it was a stock issue and I kindly replied I don't give a sh*t, I ordered a -rw and that is what I expect to be in my system without delay. I'm just sick of the same bul****e over and over again "I am sorry sir... I am sorry sir" What makes it worse was that he asked me to ring him back in 24hrs and he will have an answer for me about the dvd drive - I once again kindly told him that that was a f@cking joke, and that he was to ring me back today or it was his arse! Anyway, enough of my sorry tale, as I know I am not the only one trying to push sh#t up a hill with a stick when dealing with AW.

I get mine tommrrow and I know it will be worth the wait.
I come back here everyday to stop myself from canceling. I look at the pics and the beautiful glowing eyes

heh yeah i guess, but i really want amd64 chip. wish somebody would offer it with 16" and 1600x1200 rez
Btw i feel so sorry for those who ordered DVDRW and now getting the + version, thats really messed up.

with the DVD burner...I've had both + and -. Personally, +, i feel, is more effective for movies. And its more compatable with NEWER DVD players.
