Modular Battery Support

Yikes!
What has happened to Dell's support for modular batteries?

Are they no longer supported?
I guess I will just have to buy a spare primary battery - which is kind of a dodgy solution.

Once I discharge both primary batteries ... after I get home I would have to remember to charge them both one after another before leaving for work the next day.

I suppose no one has any idea why Dell went all stingy and pulled its support for modular batteries?

Shutting down/hibernating the notebook to swap spare batteries is going to be a pain when I buy my I9400.
