NHC question

Hi,

I was just wondering, do you guys find the optimal voltage for each multiplier or only set the minimum and maximum? I just got NHC and it's pretty awesome. Also, how come the ATi clock settings are grayed out? I have the ATi x300 128mb mobility.

Thanks,

Flaviu

to undervolt you need to follow the tutorial and download prime95.

I set mine at 6X multiplier for when running on battery and 15X for when running on AC. You don't have to worry about that other stuff. Also, I'm not too sure about the ATI question.

I'm sorry man I'm used to coming directly here to the Dell forum, didn't even notice the guide section.

Ok I looked at it and it's made for RMclock. I'm using NHC and I also don't feel like reading 75 pages of the threads posted after it for random tips. You can't take 2 min to explain it to me instead of telling me to look for myself?

BTW I figured out the ATi clock settings. I had to disable powerplay to use NHC's feature. What do you guy recommend, powerplay or NHC for vid card underclocking and whatnot?

i would use rmclock. its better than NHC. but what you do is set the 6x and 15x voltages. just keep lowing them and testing them in prime95. once you get an error in prime 95 raise the voltage one or two.

Could you state why you feel it's better? Also how come you don't alter voltages for multipliers in between max and min? (Does it skip over them really fast so it doesn't matter anyway or what?)

yeah, you either go to the 6x when the cpu isnt doing anything or 15x when its working. i recommend rmclock because i learned with it and the tutorial is written for it. and it doesnt have the stupid little test that NHC has that wastes your time.
