Turn off all power saving

I have a new flat screen in my room and i want to be able to use the PC mode of it. It goes into DLP mode which means that the computer has some power saving on. I get to see the screen for the first 20-30 secs, of teh start up but then it goes into the DLP mode. How do i make it so this doesnt happen? I would like to be able to watch all the stuff i have n my computer on my new tv.

This actully sounds like a res problem. You see the firest 20-30 sconds of startup because thats in a lower res but when it trys to up the res your TV blanks out try using your LCD built in to lower the res then try again. I am not sure if this is exactly waht going on because you where kinda vage about it but I have had this happen before.

nope sry it was neither. I had to hit Fn+F on my keyboard to turn from computer monitor to LCD.
