Just ordered mine yesterday.

Ewww. I was thinking about connecting a wireless mouse/wacom to the 9400 while it was on battery mode, but this made me change my mind. Hope they fix it soon!

The best I can do is minimize the amount of time USB devices are hooked up while in battery mode, but there is no way I can eliminate them.

I see an extra battery in my future.

Ok That sucks.. Can someone post thier battery life on their dual core lappie (specs also please)? I am wondering if there is that big of a difference compared to non dual cores out there or this article is blowing this problem out of proportion.

I got about 2 hours and 10 minutes out of my laptop. That is on a 6 cell battery, I'm sure it's a lot better on the 9 cell. I'll see how it is with a USB mouse plugged in and post my results tonight.

with screen brightness on 3, wifi on, and a MS USB optical mouse I got approx 1:40 out of it. Without the USB mouse it was about 2 hours and 10 minutes. The power drain is quite substantial!

With brightness on 4 or 5, maybe even 6 (3 is just too dark), WiFi, MS USB mouse I got a little over 2 hours. but I'm also using the bigger battery.

Has anyone tested this under linux?
It would be interesting to see the battery difference while using USB and not.
If not then I certanly will when I get mine 19days from now, I hope!!

I haven't noticed any problems when using a wireless Logitech G7.
