PC Card Hub?

Thread Starter
I have a 5660 and if you did not know, it has only one PCMCIA slot. This is not a problem most of the time as I have my wireless card in it all the time and don't need it for anything else. If I need to import some pics from my CF card, I just pop out my wireless card (also a CF in a CF-PCMCIA adapter - Netgear MA701 ) and pop in my CF card. Now I am looking at the Echo Indigo . This presents a problem. I want to use both at the same time. My question is is there any PC card hubs available ? (like the USB hubs). If not what are my options?

Thanks,

dgantony.

Yes there is: You can check out DLINK and LINKSYS and I believe they both have products that connect you to WiFi using a USB adapter. Netgear also has one, I think.

I'm pretty sure this one does, though:

Well besides stickin out the USB port like a stick, and having to use their driver (winxp didnt see it as a network device without it) it works like a charm, acually better range then the Orinoco Gold PC Card I got.

Whatever you do, don't get the easidock 1000ev http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/reviews/easidock/ as I sure can't get it to work (about to post in the problems area). On the other hand, if I can get it to work, it will be beautiful, 3 monitor support!

that Echo Indigo sound card sounds good, do you know if it's better than Creative Extigy External soundblaster?

Well, the extigy has a whole separate box to it, versus the compact PCMCIA card, so I would be willing to bet it's somewhat better, at least feature-wise. It's bound to have tons more ports and inputs and outputs and such.

Cheers.
