Any difference besides size and what they come with stock?

Cant decide, I want portability but don't want to struggle with a tiny screen.. but I think I may like the 12.1".

Also would like to do some gaming on it if possible... anyone here game on their Sentia? Let me know how you like it.. Im tossing up possibilities, and as much as I'd like to not get an Alienware due to complaints I've read, it seems there are some happy customers out there, and it may be worth it after all. Especially since the laptop is a good deal now with the rebate they offer.

what games are you planning to play on it.i dont think the sentia has any real grahics card. i think the sentia has an intergrated graphics card built on it.

m3200 vs m3400

What games? Not sure, some MMO's perhaps... maybe WoW or the new DnD game if its cool... some Strategy games like CnC Generals or Civ4... Sim City.... Not really FPS's though... thats for the desktop....

You'll be able to play anything, but don't expect it to be as pretty as it could be with a dedicated graphics card.

From what I've seen with my m3200, I totally agree with BugEater. You can play about anything...but the performance and aesthetics won't be great. I'd say if gaming really is your thing...go ahead and step up to the Centrino based Area 51's. The dedicated graphics card makes a huge difference.

However, if your emphasis is portability...I'd go with the m3200. I had similar concerns about the screen being too small, but, after ~3wks of using it, all of those concerns have been put to rest. My vision isn't bad, but it's not great either. I couldn't use my old Dell Latitude C800 15" 1600x1200 screen without my glasses...so I was very happy to find that I have no problems viewing the 12.1" Sentia screen without glasses.

Best of luck in your decision!

3200, due to the fact that you save a lot more and that there really isn't much difference worth the cost in upgrading to 3400.

my brother tried installing Civ 4 on his sentia it didnt work sadly. Has to play it on my desktop every time he comes round.

Your brother didn't do his research, apparently, if he tried playing civ 4 on his laptop. Even though it's a strategy game, it's a pretty graphics-intensive one, and the sentia definitely doesn't have the power to manage it.

The sentia should be used for music, entertainment, word-processing, web browsing, other basic functions, and secondary workstation usage. Besides that, you shouldn't try anything.
