Alright, so I work for Best Buy and several months ago we had a iBook returned to our store that was bought on Bestbuy.com. It sat in a cage the whole time and my manager finally agreed to sell it to me for $399. It is a 12 inch 1.2 G4 iBook/256/30gig/OS X 10.4/etc. I thought it was a pretty good deal until I relized someone from my store placed a password on it, and I cannot update the software or even change the user name. I would like to restore the unit to get rid of this, and just to have a clean slate..... No restore CD. What are my options, and can I find the product key buried somewhere? Are the CD's able to be ordered through apple? Thanks....
