On screen display for volume disappeared? T41

Hi

I have a T41 and when i used to alter the volume i had some green bars appear on screen to tell me what the level was.
Have rebuilt my lappy and i cant get this volume display to come back.
Is there a piece of software i need to install?
I think i have updated my drivers from the IBM website.

From IBM's website, make sure to download and install:

"Hotkey driver for Windows 98/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP - ThinkPad General"

Also, in the Advanced settings for your video, is where the configuration for this is located. The box could just be unchecked.
