He didn't cheat - kinda. He did have some funky aftermarket cooling setup (see pics in another thread - shoman might want to point you there).

Look at those clock speeds - that's why he got the score he did! And I thought I was doing good on 500/1200 (gets 5900 BTW).

I do remember shoman saying that he was too scared after that effort to maintain it, and reflashed to some more sensible speeds - can't remember what he ended up with.

So Shoman I'm looking at your photo of the fan you put on the GPU. Does the keyboard go back on that and if not what's the point? Otherwise you could just attach a water cooling solution to it.

On a similar note, what is the fastest 7800GTX powered 9300/XPS on 3Dmark? I've tried searching but I can't find the mobile variants, someone's claiming that the Dell machine are all behind the Clevo M570s...

Make sure you say 3dmark 05 as some of our 9300 users are getting higher scores easier then our xps users Darn smaller resolutions on certain 9300's are cheating 3dmark 06

My laptop wasn't moving very much so I wanted to try to OC, I had a USB keyboard hooked up.

What was the point? Just having some fun.
