Ferrari 4000 and screen "blinking" ...

Just started a couple of days ago ....

The screen occasionally "blinks" ... i.e. it dims itself for a second or two and then returns to full brightness ?!?!?

Seems to do this whenever I move the mouse around.

Anyone ever have this happen and if so ... what's the solution ?!?!

I currently have the stock video drivers installed.

Any comments are GREATLY appreciated !!!!

Circumstances...

Does it look like your machine is switching from AC to DC for few seconds?? Does it happen when your battery is less then 60% full?? If yes - than it seems to be common issue for TM series, not only TM8100...

Actually ...

I generally take the battery out when I'm plugged into the AC and in this instance I happen to have the Ferrari on AC (battery removed).

Now that you mention it ... it does appear as if it's switching between "battery" and "AC" modes !!!

Any solution to this problem !?!?

If it seems like it's flipping between battery and AC, then it could be a variety of things...
The 'brick' could be defective
the connection from the brick to the laptop could be defective
the internal board/charger that hosts that connector could be defective

If you're lucky enough to know someone with a matching brick, you could test that... otherwise, you should contact Acer
