Ok, Here's one for the masses.
I've had my 9860, almost from the day they were released. NO problems. Now i'm having an issue.
Front panel DJ has stopped showing the time. Its set to do so in the BIOS, it just stopped. When i try to shutdown, it acts like it has, but the LCD stays lit up with whatever the last image was. The power button stays turned on (ringed in blue). The hard drive light comes on, and stays on, even though perfmon says there is no HD activity.
I blow my case out with a can of air almost religiously every month. so i'm pretty sure there is no dust in it.
I think i'm running the latest bios. I got it from tech support, and its called 986bv3h.
The only way i can get the thing to turn off now is to hold the power button for 10 seconds or so, let the lights flash to let me know it has kinda turned off, remove the power plug, then remove the battery. At that point everything goes dark.
Any suggestions?
