V6 questions

Whenever I have Internet Explorer open, the hard drive light flicks and I constantly hear the hard drive working. Almost sounds like a clock ticking as the hard drive constantly clicks/works. Anyone suggest anything I can try to stop this happeneing as sometime I have IE open for hours reading and dont want my hard drive working when it shouldn't be. This only happens with IE and no other program.

Also while I'm here, my V6 is only weeks old. It seems to be running fine. Is there any drivers that I should definatley update or leave whats working fine well alone? The supplied ASUS Live software does not seem to work.

Thanks

well the hdd will click while the browser is comming up but it should stop after its loaded. If not then you may have other problems like worms or something worse.

Hi thanks for the reply. I have run antivirus and spyware doctor and nothing shows. Hijack this shows nothing out of the ordinary. How do I tell if I have a "worm"or "something worse"??

Both links are fine now thank-you. So I'm guessin I download the iso, then do as you say on the instructions page and boot from the burnt CD with the iso on. I'm still a little unsure what this achieves. I'll report what is the outcome a bit later tonight. Thanks again

I am using Nero v6.3.1.6. Under the Recorder tab I am selecting Burn Image. Point it to the downloaded .iso and it happily burns a disc. Problem is the disc appears empty and does nothing when I try to boot from it. What am I doing wrong??

What do you mean nothing? Something has to happen......something always does unless your lappy doesnt post at all...

Bootup ignores the CD and it goes to windows. The CD does nothing. And yes, I have set my bios to boot from the CD.
