No bass & treble sliders for Sigmatel.
It does suck.
The GUI is Windows, which does have bass & treble sliders, but they are inactive. I have searched the registry for a way to define graphic equalizer parameters and make them operable to no avail.
I have made many changes to the volume menu, which include additions of volume sliders for the mic, line in, line out, phone in, etc.
The registry appears
A menu pops up
Type "3DDepthEnable" (exactly)
The registry folder with all of the Sigmatel possibilities opens
Right click and select "Modify"
The "Edit Binary Data" menu appears
Select the last two digits ("01") and change them to "00"
Click "Favorites" at the top of the page
Select "Add To Favorites"
The "Add To Favorites" menu appears
Type something in, and the next time you want to fiddle with the audio keys, you can find it by going to "Favorites" in the "regedit" window any time.
If you completely screw everything up, you simply go into "Settings", "Control Panel", "System", "Hardware", "Device Manager", "Audio Devices", and uninstall and reinstall the Sigmatel. The registry will return to the default values.
I believe the bass & treble sliders can be made functional with the creation of new regisrty values, but I just don't enough about how to do it.
Should you figure it out, please tell us all. It sure would be very welcome news for Sigmatel owners!
