I'm really interested in the WUXGA, but since there's no way for me to check if the high resolution hasn't go too small icons I'm trying to get this info another way ...

The screen in picture 006 is running on 1920x1200 is it??? (Looking good!)

Could you measure how high (cm's or inches) an icon with one line of text underneath it? Then I can try to compare it with the size on my 1024x768 15" Inspiron ... I know this sux and won't work very well, but atleast I 'get the feeling'

Much appreciated!!!!!!

S913,

Here is a screen shot of my WUXGA at 96 dpi. The quality is not representative of the screen since I had to compress it in order for the file size to be small considering the 1920 x 1200 resolution. But it gives you an idea the size of the text.

IMO, it is not so tiny that you are unable to read words. I eventually got used to it. Compared to WSXGA+ that I returned, the WUXGA is simply way better in quality, in terms of crispness, colors, and video/gaming.

Thnx a lot! You've been a major help in deciding ... I'm gonna order the 1920x1200 next week!

I love the cover! If I didn't already have to pay $2600 for the laptop, I'd definitely get one. =)

Wish they had a bigger selection though.

Nice. I'm getting closer and closer to buying an 8600 in a couple of months. That screen is just so nice

Out of interest, does anyone have any pictures of the 8600 different cover options? The graphite and venice blue ones sound esp. nice. Oh, and can you replace them easily afterwards (and where do you buy new ones)?

Cheers
