Mounting IPOD inspires a case mod maybe?

Mounting IPOD in a Lexus IS also inspires to do similar mounting IPOD to a pc case. See link the guy did a pretty nice job with lots of pics.

lol thats pretty sweet... dont wanna do any off road driving with that thing mounted though

you could see the ipod jumping out the window lol

That mod makes no sense. Why mount in the dash. I think mounting it in a compartment like the center console is the way to go.

yea the IS is pretty cramped inside tho so that spot is pretty obvious for mounting. other than that, i wouldve went somewhere else like DB says.

You know those iPod dash holders? Fit a base-recharger in the bottom...run a usb lead to one of the mb usb headers...mount inside the door or on fascia, the door is still able to be closed...I've measured the clearance, its feasible...job done.

Though my mind is still asking "WHY??????????"

to have your iPod hooked up to your car. i still think your idea is better red, but im sure the sound quality is much better with this IS job.
