Hypersonic vs Sager ?

I am interested in a cx7 and i noticed that Sager also offers this shell. I am seeing some not so flattering posts about Hypersonic's shipping times and warranty turn around times. I am wondering if going with Sager is the better way since they are a larger company or will I just pay more for the same type of service ? Go easy on me as the search feature has not worked in some time

You'll find horror stories from every company, but overall, I'd have to say that Sager can be a bunch of ass-bandits sometimes when it comes to doing what they should do. PCTorque and DiscountLaptops, however, (which are Sager resellers) seem to be quite exceptional in terms of taking care of their customers in an efficient manner. Plus they're cheaper. I'd go with one of them personally unless you want a paintjob or a barebones system.

I've bought from both companies. Currently have a Sager because the config was $500 cheaper than hyper. I haven't delt with support issues with sager/pctorque yet so I can't comment on that.

I have delt with hyper's support and my experience was very positive. That's why I come back to this forum to support them. If your system config is only a couple hundred more with hyper i'd say go with them. $500, unfortunately, was too much for me. You can try haggling with the sales guys too- since I bought 2 AX7's I got a nice discount.

From what I've read, pctorque trys to help the customers with support issues as much as possible, but it's ultimately in Sager's hands and they have a history of being problematic. I just hope I don't have to deal with them any time soon.

My vote is for Hypersonic, but this may be because I have owned three different laptops from them and have had nothing but success with my dealings. I have had to deal with support issues (hard drive that died, artifacting video card, etc), and in those cases, they worked with me and had my system back to me in about 10 days… don't let that bother you. I was in Europe with the Army and so it had to go snail mail through the USPS into the military postal system. That added for the delay.

That said, there is going to be very little difference between the two systems. The bulk of the difference is going to be between the customer service and support. Call both and talk with them and let your experience drive your choice. If there are some concerns you have, make sure you ask about that as well.

In the end, it is going to be a pricey purchase that you have to be happy with. Good luck!

Smooth is Hyper's advantage

i have had a few problems with hyper, but their customer support is really accomadating, and they run a pretty tight ship. normally though the porblems are mobo related, and that happens with sager, aw, hypersonic, and falcon. they all use the same clevo shell/mobo combo. If the prices were closer, id go with hypersonic. just my $0.02

Hyp_rs_n_c........buy a vowel? wanna know who id pick ? no? well im gonna tell you anyway ....... id go with pc torque which like someone else said was a sager reseller , they seem to look after customers well.
