Apple delivery with FedEx SUXXX!

Hi everyone. I just want to point out the lack of coordination between Apple & FedEx. I bought online (in the Apple store of Roosevelt Field Mall in NY) a 20 inch duo core Saturday Jan 21, and I even pay extra for it to be shipped within 2-3 business days and delivered in two days. Why did I do this? I had plans to leave the country the 30th of Jan. so I needed my Mac pretty damn fast. What happened? I waited until Friday jan. 27 and called Fedex and they told me that it was the Chinese new year so apparently no one in Shanghai works. Because of this delay I had to reschedule my flight, pay an extra 100 bucks and keep waiting. Finally the computer is here in NY and the FedEx people came today but I was asleep!!!! SHIT!! But they’ll bring it today.

I’m mad because no one told me in the Apple store about this or was there any warning in the website that the computer could be delayed because of the chinesse new year. Apple should warn customers about this, or FedEx should warn Apple so they can tell us!! Don’t you think so? Or assemble your computers here in America!!

Ohhh by the way I forgot to tell you about 15 day ago I went to the same apple store and 2 morons there told me that the iMac and the Macpro Book wont be shipping until February!!!! Because of this disinformation I went 5 days later to a COMPUSA and they were selling the DUO CORE!!!! Shit!!! So I called the apple store in SoHo and they told me that the iMac was already shipping, the Probook only until February . Thanks to these morons I bought my duo core so late!!!

This might help you.

Quoted from the Apple store at http://www.apple.com/support/store/shipping.html:

Shipping refunds
If you paid for expedited delivery and did not receive your package on time, you may be eligible for a shipping refund.

Hit them up and ask for a refund! Good luck.

You might want to tell them about the $100 that you paid to reschedule your flight

i have the same issue, the package is with fedex right now (less than 2 miles away from my house) they say that my estimated delivery time is on wednesday, is there any way i can pick it up ? don't want to wait that long

hmm, that is odd, my experience w/ UPS and fedex is that if the package is ahead of schedule they will deliver asap, not on the scheduled delivery date. i've just ordered a bunch of stuff from zipzoomfly and newegg. from newegg in particular i got stuff that was 3 day shipped in 2 days.
