I've been using AOL Search (which partners with Google and it's much more user-friendly), and haven't had any problems searching in IE7. (The only issue is getting McAfee to run with IE7.)

If you want, try out AOL Advance Search... set your default search to: http://search.aol.com/aolcom/advanced

I looked through the tour and the only new feature that's truly different better than other browsers is the "Phishing Site" badge for know phishing sites.

Agreed, I hate that you can't move the address bar. They are trying to make it "idiot-proof" because a lot of novice users mistakenly move it in IE6 and can't figure out how to get it back to normal. Why punish the expert users by permanently locking it in place? Very stupid I think. They should just hide the movable feature in the Settings tab and include a "Restore to Default" button in case you screw it up.

They also need to add the option to hide the Tab Bar when only one tab is open.

No doubt, it will only get better. Another great feature in IE7 (besides the new tab pages) is the Quicktab View where you can see all your opened web pages at once on one page just by clicking the toggle switch or pressing [Ctrl + Q].

I didn't know people still used Internet Explorer. I've been on Firefox for something like a year and a half now.

Didn't FF change to "monkey something"?

I still use Firefox. I did install IE 7 beta though to check it out. Plus for a couple of site (Windows Update, etc) I still need IE. I am impressed with the beta. But still using Firefox mostly.

I think they changed the name of the Mozilla Suite (Browser, E-Mail Client and HTML Editor combined in one app.) to SeaMonkey. Firefox is the stand-alone browser that is now the best in the business.
