Taking the battery out

I'm scared i'll hurt my lappy or battery if i'm too rough while taking the darn thing out, it went in so easy and now it feels like i'll break something as hard as i'm having to push on it. Any tips on doing this easier or better? I can't get it out of my Z71v.

hmmm... I've never had a difficulty with that (and I'm on my fourth battery! ) Did you slide the release lever all the way? Dumb question, I know, but you should be able to just slide the lever, hook your fingernail under the overhang, and pull it out.

The z71v battery is pretty tight. You cant hurt it unless you are using pliers. Teh sliding mechanism is not the greatest there but it does need some effort to remove the battery. Would you rather have a tight battery or a loose one that creaks??

My battery has never come out hard at all. Is it possible the plastic where your battery fits into warped a bit from heat?
