Hi all,
I have a Dell XPS 140 which I have ordered but I have found out I had been given some incorrect information from Dell. Prior to purchase, I wanted to make sure I would be able to restore to factory condition with the use of image CDs. Dell told me they don't ship image CDs with the system but they can be ordered. I am aware of the Ctrl. F11 feature to do a system restore (thanks to this forum) but wanted to have the image on CDs in case the partition with the image file gets corrupted or the drive fails etc. Upon speaking with Dell, there is no such image CDs. The only CDs that can be ordered are the Windows XP, driver and the various application CDs. A fresh installation of everything would then be required. I am trying to avoid that type of installation. I guess I can make my own image by using Norton Ghost but would like to have the factory image. Is there a way to burn the factory image file from the hidden partion to a DVD or CDs?
Thanks,
Joe
