Welcome to the club, guys. It's good to see so many people ordering the m5500.

Yang - you'll be sorry you got that low end m7700 when you see how good our m5500s are.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My specs are essentially the same as everyone, I got the 1.8 cpu, the 128 nvidia, 1g of ram and a 2yr warrantee, everything else was standard.

Still stuck in phase three, but it has only been 3 days.

Finally moved up to Phase 6. To think, I was thinking of cancelling this order and ordering an M50 Toshiba.

For those who own machine, what would you say it weighs?

And, do any of you play WoW on it? How does it run, the reviews I have read have only tested the usuals, Far Cry, Doom 3 etc.

Are you kidding me... Seriously man I've been in phase one for about a week now and I'm starting to go crazy. It's really hard to be patient when one spends a few THOUSANDS on an electronic device.

Tritania - don't hesitate to give AW a call if you are wondering what's going on. Have you received confirmation that they've processed your paperwork? And what system did you order (just curious)?

Unfortunately, the number of dollars you spend on a custom built computer has a fairly direct correlation with the number of days you wait ($$$$$ = Alienware custom built = several weeks versus $=BestBuy off the shelf=instant gratification). The wait is worth it...
