Best 13-14" widescreen w/ core duo?

whats up,

looking for a 13-14" widescreen notebook w/ core duo.....so far im leaning towards the sony sz, but i guess thats because the options are slim right now lol.......im also weary about what ive heard about sony notebooks.....but anyways, is there anything else in that range coming out? i think i read something about an asus, and i havent heard anything about dell or toshiba yet.......

You could look into the Asus Z62H. The Z62J which will offer a dedicated graphics solution should release in a week or two as well.

Any particular reason you gotta have core duo? Even if it's just to say you want the latest and greatest would be a valid reason.

look for the Asus W3J. It's a 14'' widescreen and will have a 256mb X1600 and core duo

Toshiba has started selling a 14"widescreen Core Duo in Australia and in Canada (but with integrated graphics if that matters), and probably other parts. They should appear in the US shortly (I'm guessing like maybe this week).

yup, i want core duo because its the latest, plus im a multi-tasker

You could also look at the HP Pavilion dv1000t. Duo Core and 14.1in BrightView widscreen. Was just reviewed in PC Magazine and was rated pretty good.

Aw, you just want it for the bling bling bragging rights!

I personally have a preference for the Sony SZ series. 13.3", 4.1 lbs. Nvidia 7400 GPU, but the prices can skyrocket past $2400 when you opt for the core duo processors. They start under $1500 with the single cores.
