Anyone else had problems installing modified 6800 video drivers?

I read this thread:

and decided to update mine to see if I could improve my vid scores (3400 with stock drivers in 3dmark05). If you read this thread you will see that you have three (3) choices: 8340, Xtreme-G and DHZer0point drivers.

I tried installing each driver by following the directions in the thread and by decompressing/installing from \program files.

OK, I could not install both the 3840 and xtreme-g drivers becasue during instllation I get the message:

"The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

I successfully installed the DHzer0point drivers but 3dmark05 craps out about half way through. Anyone have this happen to them?

What video card does your laptop have?

Also it is better to make sure your current drivers are completely uninstalled before you install new ones. Add/Remove Programs then use Driver Cleaner or another program that completely removes video drivers.

Problem solved, I must have downloaded a corrupt driver.
