New Motherboard for 8790

I don't care if it's new, used, original model, newer model...I NEED A REPLACEMENT MOTHERBOARD FOR MY 8790! The repair isn't covered by warrantech so I need to find a board and just do it myself. Maybe there's a similar model of computer that uses the same motherboard? Someone please help!

Might want to contact Sager or one of the resellers- they might be able to get you a new mboard. Would imagine you're going to pay some bucks for it, though. Might even try contacting Clevo directly.

Why exactly is the repair not covered?

Keep in mind, they tried to pull that not covered crap on me when I called up for a repair order, and I told them I had flashed the BIOS, they tried to blame me for my machine artifacting, but after several calls up the chain, they relented, and low and behold, the logic board got replaced.

If your machine is artifacting, and you didn't do anything yourself to screw it up, lean on them and they will cave in. This issue is not our fault, it's Sager's, but since my manufacturer warranty is expired, and I purchased extended coverage, it's their problem. Extended warranty places are much harder to deal with, they will try to screw you if you let them. Don't.
