Out in stores

I got mine this morning...6600GT is going out the window!!

Stunning leap in performance and visual quality. I am playing HL2 Lost Coast with full HDR at 1600x1200 and everything jacked up...butter smooth except when I play the commentary.

WHAT A STUNNING CARD!!

If you've been a AGP fan and refused to upgrade your setup to PCIE because it would involve changing everything - THIS - is the card for you

I'll shutup and go back to my games...DROOOOOL

do you have a link? How much did you get it for? I might just get one instead of going a major pc upgrade.

Did you unlock the pipelines yet? I am thinking about one too or maybe a 6800.

Pipelines are hardware locked...no chance of unlocking...

Stock Clocks - 400/1.25

Overclocked using coolbits to 487/1.42 (autodetect)

hmm, there seems to be quite a performance drop from the gtx. Hell, some people can even hit those scores with 6800's.

hmmmm

There is still plenty of overhead for OCing. The visual quality is where this card leaps ahead of the 6 series. I have it stable at 520/1.45

Benches were done at 480/1.38

How can you get the GT? The 7800GT is only for PCI-E

Caterham Roadsport SV...

I want the new Caterham CSR260

Probably the most insane road car...even in the company of ferrari and lamborghini and others.

Nothing touches the Caterham for BRUTAL accelleration, cornering and circuit laptimes.

The CSR is lunacy...sheer madness...

CSR260 Model
ENGINE:
Cosworth 2.3-litre Ford Duratec Max power: 260 bhp
Maximum Speed: 155mph
0-60 3.1 seconds

I think that driving a Caterham would be the closest you could get to having sex with a car...

I just got this card. I went with the EVGA Overclocked model. The stock clock in this particular board is 460/1350. Out of the box I got a score of 14700 and change in 3dmark03. At 500/1500 it scored 15938. The card barely breaks about 42 degrees temp wise at that clock level in my case when checking the temp right after running the tests. There is definitely some more room to go.
It is not 7800GTX, but for AGP, I am more than pleased.

Can't find any 1/4-mile times, but they can do 0-60 in anything from 6.5 to 3.7 seconds, depending on the model, and cost anywhere from 15,450 to 31,000 GBP (I don't have my GBP -> USD calculator handy).

Car and Driver has a good review of a Roadsport SV kit that they built here.

Edit: I checked Caterham's US website, and it looks like the prices fall between $20,000 and $30,000 with out the engine and tranmission.
