Okay, just taking a quick survey to see that is the average idle CPU temperature of the 9750 X2 ?

See my sig for the machine spec and based on the mobmeter reading, it idles around 51C to 55C on the "Always On" power mode with a pacific breeze cooler.

Mine is on a flat surface with no cooler and it's on laptop power mode. It runs between 35 and 45 C. The highest it has ever gotten is 55 C after about 4 hours of playing FEAR at work. Mine just seems to run really cool I guess.

wow..thats not bad ! i should say that mine maxes around 57C when pressed. this is still WAY cooler than what i was seeing on my Dell Inspiron 8200 with the P4 1.8Ghz Mobile chip which runs between 55C and 60C idle and can run to 70C when pressed. How times have changed...

I have no idea what the idle temp might be. I've been running F@H 24/7 since 1/5. I've seen temps with both cores running at 100% ranging from 50C to 60C. A quick check showed 54C@74F current temp as I am posting.

..thats about right with mine as well, i've never seen it burn past 60C (100% load) which is amazing for a desktop chip in a notebook chasis, imho.

84C under load on my MSI MS-1029 and that is with a Turion 64 MT CPU! Just shows how good the cooling is in Sager notebooks. MSI has something to learn in this regard...

thermal sensors on 7800 gtx?

does anyone know if the 7800 gtx gpus they are putting into the 9750s have thermal sensors on them? when i check out my forceware control panel there isn't a section for "temperature settings" which i have seen in other computers with the same gpus.

thanks

thermal sensors there but missing temperature settings

sorry, just realized that there definitely are themal sensors on the 7800 gtx. but i still cannot see the temperature settings on the forceware control panel. it seems that some people have / had the same problems with the 6600 cards and they fixed it by tweaking the bios. does anyone else have the same problem with the 7800 card?

also, speedfan does not seem to even recognize my 7800 at all so i can't use that to monitor temps.

thanks.

Someone over here [MeaN]: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=135833
mentioned being able to see the gpu temps w/rivatuner.

My 9750 hasn't arrived yet, so I haven't been able to test this.

i have it installed but no time to really mess with it and i don't see the temps. infact, i am thinking "why does it have to be so hard" when even my simple Dell 8200 has a nice fangui program for it.

if you someone can be so kind to post how they did it with riva tuner, i think it would be appreciated by all....

Mine idles around 45*C with the laptop profile. But, I have (2) hard drives and a pcmcia sound card which will bring the temps up a little.

My 9750 idles at 48C and runs up to 55C after a few hours of gaming, F.E.A.R., EQ2, BF2... hours and hours. I run games with the fans on high and keep the 9750 in always on.
