I ordered a IBM on Friday and got it by Tuesday that was with the free shipping and the tracking number said i came all the way from Hong Kong. The free shipping was suppose to be only free ups ground shipping but I know it said express on the ups page at least when it was in hong kong and anywhere else overseas. I was shocked it came so early and took so little time when I ordered I was expecting to have to wait a good 2 weeks. I am still in shock to say the least. Either IBM is trying to really impress a first time customer, ups or ibm made a mistake, or they just did it to be nice or something. Who knows. Either way I stlll can't believe it went all around the world within 3 business days and got here the third day. Actually if you don't count Friday then its more like only 2 business days sorta or if you don't count Friday or Tuesday sense Friday was the day I ordered it and Tuesday the day it came. Though maybe it was still moving on Saturday and sunday. I am shocked you get directly to someone on the phone as well with ibm instead of a dumb recording. Pretty impressive.
i ordered a z60m that showed in stock on december 20th and still waiting.
as for the rest of what you wrote there,
well either you are on some seriously good drugs or you are the luckyest person on this earth, ibm\lenovo have crazy waiting time for thier shipped items that take more than a month and they have problems with customs that delay thier products further more (between few days to two weeks).
there is no way you got your product in 4 days.
more over wait time of 20 minutes to talk to a csr is unacceptable. dell on a busy day is 5 minutes. if anyone wants to check for themselvs just call 877-999-7115 (ibm web) or 1-877-338-4465 (ibm main) make yourself comfortable and get ready to wait an amazing 20 minutes.
here are a few threads about thier horrible shipping time and about thier customs issues.http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=38577http://reviews.cnet.com/ThinkPad_X41...8&cval=1612028http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=36630http://episteme.arstechnica.com/grou...r/847004296731http://www.consumerist.com/consumer/lenovo/index.php
if anyone wants more you can just google "lenovo shipping problem" and read any of the 153,000! links that come up.
so again if you are the luckiest ever disregard the following, but if not, you probably know all of the above since you work for lenovo, tell your boss not to waste his\your time posting in forums and that instead of that he better try and make all those orders ship.
